The first created beings in the Mengens legend.

Yes, yes good day everyone. I am now going to give you the legendary story of the first beings God has ever created in the Mengens context. Like the Bible, God our Father had done a great and excellent piece of work when he created the first beings using the earth.
Indeed the Superior Being known as God took the earth and made the first being by passing his own breathe. The being known to us as a man. God named him Adam. He put the man he created in charge of the huge garden of Eden where he had already created.
Though the man had all he wanted, God saw that he was still lonely. God felt sorry for him and decided to make the man happy so he made him sleep and took a rip from the side of the man and created a woman. He named the woman Eve. Then he woke the man and as soon as he was awaken he was surprised to see the woman. They lived together happily in the garden of Eden as best friends. That is what the Bible taught us. The garden of Eden is located somewhere in one of the Arab countries if I am correct.

How about the the created beings of the Mengens? The first creation took place in the home of the Mengens and that is here in Pomio District of Papua New Guinea.
Now let me take you to a ride to the Mengens version of the first created beings. God did create human beings in the legendary story of the Mengens of Pomio District in Papua New Guinea.
Yes the Mengens believe that God known to them as Natu also created two first beings. But what so different with the two stories is that the Bible taught us that he created a man and later a woman.

In the Mengens version he created two men as the first beings. God didn't create a man and a woman. But later he made changes to one of the men. The one he chose will be transformed into a woman later on as the story goes.

Want to know more? Okay this is how the story goes for the Mengens of Pomio District.
Both men lived together for a while but God knew there was still something missing. One of the men should become a woman so he chose the one he had marked to do him a favour. God asked them to get him some nuts up on a tree. They went off as instructed and the one he chose was ordered to climb the tree and pick the nuts. Before doing so God went ahead and placed a sharp object like a blade at the trunk of the tree. As the man climbed up he bypassed the object so God had to wait for his return after picking the nuts. BUT to God's surprise he did miss the sharp edge object when coming down.
So God decided to do it a second try. He waited and when the time came he send them off back to look for some nuts again. This time as he did climb the tree he ripped off his penis and further removed it completely when he tried to avoid it by returning to the bottom of the tree. A sudden transformation took place and the man completely became a woman. But the changes were only visible by God and not by the beings in anyway. They were both unconscious of the changes that took place. So God decided to test them further to make them fully aware of the changes he had done.
When evening came he asked them to fetch water so the beings set off for their task. God instructed the one he transformed to fetch water while the other had to wait at the river bank. The one who was already a woman took off to fetch water and as she was bending low to fetch she took the attention of the man waiting at the river bank. He noticed the difference between them. That is where he was conscious of the differences that lay between them and eventually they had their first taste of sex in the river. That river had its name after the couple made love for the first time. The river is known today as " Nanasa"
The term Nanasa refers to the act of sex between the same bloodline. It can happen between a brother and a sister, first cousins, aunt and a nephew or uncle and a niece etc in a Mengen context.
That is where the Mengens believe the birth  of the existing clans in the Mengen tribe through the first created beings.
So you see Mengens knew that there is a God who created everything around them before Europeans brought evangelization into Papua New Guinea especially in Pomio District.
The God the Mengens were referring to as their Nutu lived in the place now a days called Marana. The place Marana is used to be the place where their God once lived. A sacred place I mean with its secretes still intact and only the villagers of Marana are keeping for the sack of not loosing what God had left or given to the inhabitants of the present Marana village. It is located next to the station known today as Palmalmal the small town found in Pomio District.
So enlightening. More still to come. Bye for now.
